Jonny White is a 27 year-old filmmaker and director based in Leeds, UK.
He focuses on creating memorable and authentic work that inspires, educates and resonates with audiences in an emotive way.
Jonny graduated with a degree in Film & Television Production from York St John University in 2016. His first short documentary and student film, Trapped in Terror, detailing one man's experiences with sleep paralysis, won a Royal Television Society Student Award in 2017.
Jonny has since had work featured by major online platforms including Adobe, BOOOOOOOM, Directors Notes, Film Shortage. His short documentary, The Voices of Men, which spotlights the issue of men's mental health, screened at Aesthetica Short Film Festival 2020 as part of the York St John University Showcase, which Jonny was additionally a panellist for. The Voices of Men also featured as part of the Official Selection for Manchester Film Festival 2021.
